Should I get the H1N1 vaccine?

Due to initial supplies being limited, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that certain groups of the population receive the 2009 H1N1 vaccine first.

These target groups include:

1.	Pregnant women.
2.	Persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years.
3.	People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age.
4.	Healthcare and Emergency medical services personnel.
5.	People ages of 25 through 64 years of age who are at higher risk for flu related complications because of chronic health disorders.  Examples include but are not limited to asthma, diabetes, heart disease and those with suppressed immune systems.

As production of the vaccine continues and supplies become more broadly available then all age groups will be offered the vaccine (excluding those younger than 6 months of age).
